Isaac looks more robust on satellite images yet has not gained strength.

The future path and intensity of Isaac remains in doubt but it still is likely headed for the area between Alabama to Louisiana.  It should gain strength but so far the winds remain at about 60 mph.  Central pressure is dropping and this indicates a slow gain in strength eventually.

Isaac is now mostly over water near Cuba and showing signs of gaining strength and taking a more westward track.

The threat to Florida's panhandle appears lessened and areas from Alabama to Louisiana are more likely to see the future hurricane make landfall there.  The storm will likely gain strength tomorrow near the Keys and further gains in strength will occur over the very warm Gulf waters.  Upper air conditions will also aid the development of the storm. By Sunday night,  there should be a more certain picture of where the storm will go.

Currently tropical storm winds of about 60 mph are present.  Heavy rains occurred over Hispaniola.  Isaac has the potential to become a dangerous hurricane.

Isaac still churning but not gaining strength....yet.

Tampa will almost certainly feel the effects of Isaac.  Should it pass just to the West of Tampa it could cause dangerous high tide flooding.  Stay tuned.

You do not want to be in Tampa next week for multiple reasons!
