Euro predicts 12 to 18 inches of snow across portions of New York Metro, but can it be believed?

No official word yet, but a reasonable guess would be 6"+, with a potential for a foot or more.  The phasing of the southern disturbance and the northern one is crucial.  The Euro is right only if the 2 storms phase perfectly.  Possible yes , but not a done deal.  We may know for sure by tonight or tomorrow.

This phasing can go right or wrong by as little as a 6 hour difference, maybe less.  This is where the uncertainty comes in.

Southern NJ will see more rain than snow.
