The long range view that I am picking up is that the basic pattern we have had for over a year and a half, has not changed. If everything holds together, next winter will be yet another blast. The Pacific Ocean temperatures have us locked in, until something changes. So, bad news for California.

You betcha! Global warming seems inevitable,but,how much and how soon? I don't believe anyone knows for sure. But, you can believe the graph in the figure above. Careful measurements have been made on the summit of Mauna Loa since 1957, the year of the International Geophysical Year.We know the carbon dioxide is on the increase but, what effects will it have?
