Evening update: Snow is headed our way Wednesday and it looks like we will have a little more than snow showers. I would guess an inch or two. More than that would be surprising. Plenty of cold winds blowing Wed. night. Bear in mind that higher elevations North and West could see the 2 to 4 inch range.
This is a clipper type storm which are best known for bringing us wind and cold and only once in a while a heavy snow. The heavy snow only develops when the storm hits the coast, draws in moisture and rapidly intensifies. This time the worst of the storm could hit points well east.
The storm for the 2nd and 3rd looks much less substantial but it is a little early to write that one off just now.
We remain in an active and moist pattern so more snow is almost certainly ahead at some point.
