Flight delays at JFK, Chicago, Philadelphia as of 2:30 pm.
Tuesday afternoon update: the storm is now being forecast to linger until mid-day. This will result in additional accumulations. Light snow and snow showers will begin around nightfall in southern and western areas first, then overspread the entire region, by around midnight.
The storm is going to be moving fast, it is cut off from Gulf moisture, but a vigorous circulation will produce heavy snow in many areas but, lighter snow in others. A few miles will produce a large difference in snow totals. Snow should begin around midnight, before that some snow showers may occur. The snow will quickly end tomorrow, probably before mid-day. Expect very windy conditions especially in open areas near the coast. 3708
